Myrtle is very lucky to have a loving hungry sister like Greengage who is willing, nay DETERMINED, to make sure every scrap of delicious food is cleaned off her.

Kitten Report: Greengage is adopted! She goes home Monday. Jasper and Bluegum are meeting new humans right now, and there are people waiting to meet kittens, so Aggie should be adopted by the end of the day too.

Soon everybeast was tucking into honeyed hazelnuts, barley bread, yellow celery-studded cheese, and one of Friar Wopple's hazelnut puddings. There was coltsfoot an' burdock tea or rose'n'greengage wine to go with it.

I've made greengage curd to go into a meringue pie!
Other greengage ideas:
chili courgette and gage salsa
greengage chiffon pie
greengage hand pies
Friday's column has a suggestion for using gages in a sandwich.
