#groundcherries
In winter through early spring, you can sometimes find unspoiled, still-bright groundcherries sitting in the latticed remnants of their husks, like hearts suspended in paper ribcages

not to sexualize every aspect of my life but every time I go to harvest groundcherries it's such a fruit fit for borrowers. what do you mean there's a plant that grows like a weed and produces tons of tiny berries that drop right off the vine when ripe inside a thin paper casing.

I never had groundcherries until now. They taste like if a tomatillo wanted to be a kiwi.

Idle thought, it really is amazing how well the nightshade family has done for itself under human domination

Tomatoes, potatoes, chili peppers, eggplants, tobacco, petunias, tomatillos, groundcherries...

I’ve had an amazing year of berries harvests. Raspberry, Saskatoon, Strawberry, Groundcherries, and my grapes are going to be plentiful too. I’ve frozen most of it. I’d like to make pies but I need someone to teach me the ways of the pie crust. Something I’ve not had success with.
