Oooh, my bad. I guess as a kid I just so happened to groundpound at the same time as those happened lol. There's some goof comedic effect about it being set to happen around the time the mushroom would be on it

Or at the very least distract my lizard brain with something else like pseudoregalia's air kick and the groundpound backflip cancel (which is basically a really bad double jump you have to work for) so it has buttob it can press when im in the air

No reason to use the fire or ice blasts, no reason to use the groundpound, they're strictly there when you need to open a door or maybe sometimes break the rare one enemy's guard that you see maybe 3 times in the game because it's immune to your only weapon otherwise.
