Alle diese Handlungen halfen letztlich der rechtsextremen AfD. Diese Partei hat zahlreiche Funktionäre mit besten Kontakten zum Kriegsverbrecher Putin.

Millie has 2 dog buddies like that.
Cocoa is a GSHP and Maverick is a Vizsla.
Both are faster than greased lightening.
when we see one of them on walkies they leave Millie in the dust.
So they slow down to let her catch up.
just to get in some wrasslin'
Then it is off and running again.

Very cool. I can totally believe they aren't enough to offset. It is good that we get some wins on it.

With our GSHP, the EV winter draw is the more concerning portion. It both uses more overall, and it causes much higher peaks.

What's really fascinating here is how the US has such a big share of the heat pump manufacturing market. Heat pumps are energy security.

I know our GSHP comes from an Indiana company (Waterfurnace).
It's not brand new but this chart of clean manufacturing capacity is so interesting. Eg Europe actually a reasonably significant manufacturer of EVs (might be a lag here though, interested to see vs US).

GSHP = geothermal heat pump?

Do you know of anyone else (besides Dandelion) innovating in the space for residential GSHP?

Why are ground source heat pumps compared with deep geothermal projects? Totally different physics. GSHP extract latent solar energy. Deep geothermal extracts energy from the earth’s core. Now it’s proven viable there should be no restraint on investment in upscaling, even with high upfront costs.

I would use GSHP, but it is less widely understandable by the general public.
May 13, 2026 at 3:04 PM
This is making me think about getting a GSHP and not an ASHP
November 22, 2025 at 1:20 PM
That’s great. We need more GSHP, especially in colder climates. I worry about what a lot of ASHP will do to winter peaks.
April 28, 2025 at 1:59 PM
There are cold climate ASHPs that can meet 100% of our heating needs for less cost & install complexity than a GSHP. We decided to go with a three-season heat pump to reduce cost & because we are close to our 150A panel max load.
November 22, 2025 at 1:27 PM
3) in many systems the pumping station is the dominant energy input so 2-3xing the pump duty cycle is a really big deal

All of this has hardened my position that I will never install a residential gshp. But if you have one and are nice I'll probably help you fix it
September 17, 2026 at 2:31 AM
We just have got to do GSHP. The costs exist. We next to pay up.
February 3, 2026 at 1:24 PM
There's no way we could put in a GSHP due to space, but the ASHP installation started today 👍🏻😁
March 9, 2026 at 3:02 PM
Now insist that 'all' new developments have solar, GSHP etc installed as a condition of being granted planning permission
March 21, 2025 at 10:18 AM
If cities started drilling boreholes during road and sewer work, we’d at least offset some of the install costs of GSHP. With boring costs continuing to fall, it’s a rounding error on the overall cost of the sewer work.
