Driving south from São Paulo I wanted to take a little break and saw the Parque Estadual de Campinhos up ahead, an #eBirding hotspot with exactly one prior checklist. My favorite type of stop! One hour, + twenty new species for the location, including these Dusky-legged Guans. #birds #birding #ebird

Crested Guans are shy in wild forests, as they're at risk of predation. But at my house they're way too comfortable with people and they aren't afraid of anything. They like to hog the bananas, as they're much larger and aggressive than other birds.
