That's honestly why I kind of have hope seeing that they gave HC kinda Nu-13 style gunshot followups in exchange for losing unblockable curse and guardcrush, because hopefully it means everybody else will have similar extra expressive bits added on.

This game has the best combat rhythm & game feel since Nine Sols. I’ve never been a massive beat ‘em up guy but these devs (Guardcrush) know how to make this sort of game appealing to me.

Holy shit this is high quality.
Top tier combat, a stellar artstyle, super cool worldbuilding and a statisfying gameloop even in the limited scope of a demo.
Spent most of my time as Karl because a boxing Dwarf with a gun is just made for me.

i would hope so! issue is that recently these "sickos" seem to not exist in the dev space anymore with most indie action games adopting similar design to AAA ones. So many of them are i-frame roguelikes! Even GuardCrush which made SOR4 for Sega then pivoted into a parry roguelike bmup with Absolum
