It depends on the specialty. Gynecology/urology/endocrinology? Nearly indefinitely unless I suspected the big C.
Other specialties I’m less worried about whether my doc is female, I’d be more inclined to try to find one that is closer to me in AGE and would wait about 3 months for that.

Yeah to name a few there are the Tuskegee experiments, the pilfering of Henrietta Lacks’ cells, systemic medical malpractice, numerous forms of experimentation & to this day medical misinformation about Black people that is still taught to doctors, like that we feel less pain, which is training AI.

It depends on the issue I was having and the specialist. Pretty much indefinitely for gynecology, neurology, or psychiatry. Or endocrinology. For orthopedics… eh. I don’t care that much.
