thinking again about the mushroom that makes eaters hallucinate tiny people everywhere and how people get the same hallucinations of tiny people across cultures

I'm having hanging chad hallucinations.
Update: Emergency ballots cast in Westchester County, New York, will be collected by bipartisan election officials and transported under police escort to a counting location tonight.

the hallucinations caused by the specific mushroom in question are not culturally dependent, you have no context for it and still end up with the same hallucinations

For real. The hallucinations are so uniform!

apparently delicious and you don't get the tiny people hallucinations if they're fully cooked en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanmaoa...

GPT GIFs are weird they way they're inbetween modern-ish quality and 2023 hallucinations
November 6, 2026 at 8:06 AM
Maybe they're not hallucinations, you just can't see them without the mushrooms
November 5, 2026 at 3:17 AM
I'm sorry this was intriguing up until the whole "the hallucinations last 1 to 3 days" part.

Hard pass on any 24+ hour hallucinations thanks.

It really does take a very special kind of marketing genius to take a genuinely powerful and useful new technology and make the public associate it with environmental disaster, hallucinations, slop, disinformation, job losses, academic cheating and potentially human extinction.
November 6, 2026 at 9:24 AM
and apparently there is a meme on chinese social media where people post about getting mushroom poisoning and being able to like, see through lottery scratch cards or see the correct answers on school tests, on top of the tiny people hallucinations
November 5, 2026 at 7:17 PM
I mean, it *does* produce environmental disasters, hallucinations, job-losses, hasten cognitive decline, enhance disinformation, support sexual abuse and paedophilia… so…

From hallucinations to partisan bias, artificial intelligence chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude are not helpful when it comes to Election Day.

They lean left because reality leans left and the labs trying to make them non partisan is causing thrashing and hallucinations in various use cases. Theres no such thing as non partisain and the LLMs know this.
Here is a mass attempted replication of old findings of LLMs with new models. Much conventional wisdom is outdated.

Recent models no longer invent citations and both hallucination rates & stereotyping has dropped. But they are still sycophantic & lean left. zou-group.github.io/llm-claims-s...

Once again federal behavior in DC is being set by the cocaine hallucinations of staffers in Navy Yard
“The boats will conduct ‘perimeter security’ for police conducting operations against suspected gang leaders and drug traffickers in Anacostia.”

Ummm, how many D.C. criminals flee by river?

Makes you wonder...*are* they hallucinations? Or...revealed reality?
November 5, 2026 at 3:37 PM
Just as important as the emergence of these hallucinations is their disappearance. For many of us, chatbots that *used to* pass the Turing Test now flunk it.

In 2024, I realized that I'd been lulled into false confidence by AI and bots on Twitter.

Had to leave. Can't stay surrounded by Nazis and their hallucinations.
