Starting Saturday with a lovely Glendronach 21 that needs killing. It needed a suitably sherried partner and this Hazelburn 15 Oloroso Cask fits the bill although it is much heavier sherry. Very nutty and fruity and overpowering the spirit I feel. #whisky

My ex-bourbon cask whisky shelf is getting incredibly sparse now and I’m reaching for little else these days. Cask heavy sherry bombs and the like are a nice change from time to time, but they aren’t my preference now. This Hazelburn is just lovely whisky.
