♥ "Kate," 2026, PART ONE. A pictorial story based on an old photo of the model: kate_knight_art — on Instagram shared with me. She had waited a long while for me to work something on her. I started with her portrait. ©HD2026 #eroticart #artist #nsfw #naked #sketching #portrait [art page]

♥ "Kate," 2026, PART THREE. The old English look on the reference photo made me imagine Kate: kate_knight_art -on Instagram, in a bedroom and I had my story. The figure was drawn on a layout paper I bought in London 1996. ©HD2026 #eroticart #artist #naked #nsfw #sketching #exhibitionism [art page]

♥ The mini-portrait of Josephine, acrylics/mixed media on 10x15 cm canvas. She's #sketching penises as "josephinedisegni" at Instagram. She charges a small sum for a drawing of yours, or your partner's #penis, and all sizes and shapes will do. ©HD2026 #eroticart #artist #nsfw #anatomy [art page]

Day 3 of #HD2026 put the huntingtin protein (HTT) under the microscope. Researchers shared new insights into HTT1a, next-generation HTT-lowering approaches, somatic expansion, brain circuitry, and why boosting healthy HTT might help. Read our roundup here:

Welcome to Day 3 of the #HD2026 Milton Wexler Biennial Symposium, where HDBuzz is reporting live for this final day of talks. Morning sessions will focus on huntingtin (HTT), including a fragment of the expanded HTT protein that seems to be extra harmful.

Day 1 of #HD2026 - From what human brains can teach us about HD, to HTT1a, somatic CAG expansion and the normal biology of HTT, today’s talks spanned the spectrum from fundamental biology to potential treatments. Catch up on everything we learned right here.

Dan starts by reminding us that people with HD are not exempt from having other types of brain illnesses which impact the general population, including Alzheimer’s, cancers, or other age-related diseases and injuries. #HD2026

Richard and his team could also map which type of neurons were lost in each region and then see how this tracked with different symptoms. This helped them figure out which cell types drive specific symptoms of HD in the human brain. #HD2026

Many studies have seen a connection between TDP-43 and HD. Dan has been keen to further explore whether TDP-43 clumps are a feature of HD, where these clumps form in HD brains, and how they might contribute to disease. #HD2026

Anne notes that over the last 10 years we have seen a massive shift in our understanding of the biology and the progression of HD. She will discuss the complex nature of HD, current trials, and the current challenges and opportunities. #HD2026

This means that symptoms can sometimes be the sum of all of these underlying issues, known as comorbidities, not just HD in isolation. This matters when we are thinking about applying different drugs and treatments to improve brain health for people with HD. #HD2026

Day 2 #HD2026 - insights into the mechanics of somatic instability, new ways we can track Huntington’s disease (HD) in people over time, how AI can help us drive research forward, and new developments in our understanding of the HTT protein. Catch up on everything we learned on HDBuzz.net

Not to sound like a broken record but, again, this research is only possible because of everyone who volunteered to participate in these studies, and their family members who supported them. These huge datasets are so valuable to researchers like Jingwen to give us new insights into HD. #HD2026

Up next is Jeff Carroll, editor emeritus at HDBuzz! Jeff will tell us about his work to connect the dots on different drivers of HD, including somatic instability, the process by which CAG numbers can get longer in some cells over time, and a toxic fragment of the HD protein, HTT1a. #HD2026

While this meeting has been taking place for almost 30 years, this is just the 3rd meeting where HDBuzz has been able to post in real time about the talks. We’re excited to sit front row and share the latest updates with YOU, live, as researchers themselves learn about this new work. #HD2026
