Was reading about a FreeBSD-based OS called helloSystem that is basically a reimplementation of 00s Mac OS X and I think that’s neat. I actually think macOS is a pretty good OS that’s basically just ruined by being proprietary and developed by a predatory/exploitative business.

I am mostly #2 but also, I've got my systems set up, they are talking 2 each other nicely, My vid editing app is just what I need, I have GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, Open Office, & Handbrake working just fine, I don't need any big upgrades, except for security.

Another similar looking project is helloSystem hellosystem.github.io/docs/ which aims to capture the feel of MacOS back when it was really simple. And it's an effort I can only applaud, but with FreeBSD as a base I'm not sure if it's achievable
