There's something peaceful about stormy waves
(too bad it will destroy my sandcastle even more than usual...)

A storm comes in unexpectedly!
Just when you though your dug hole was safe, the sea gets angrier...

I dug all the way down, but the sea came in!

Should have built a bigger moat 😂

clay protects better against the sea!
On the beach, you can dig a hole. And if you dig deep enough, you encounter different materials. Some of these will help you build better structures!

Digging on the beach is fun.
Digging on the beach with friends, is more fun!

Everything in the engine is deterministic, which makes it so the simulation can be fully shared. Water, sand, pickups,... it all just works!

Down we go!

The beach is a place for building, but also for digging! So I dug down. 80 meters down 🕶️

For my game Here Comes The Sea, I'm working on the shovel model a bit.

Specifically, how the sand looks on the shovel. In previous iterations, playtesters called it "the sandcake". A mound of sand is better, do you agree?

With all the sand you dig up, you can sculpt pretty interesting sand sculptures in Here Comes the Sea!

This is a bunch of fun. Just waiting for high tide to take my statue away tho... 🫠

Every dug a hole at the beach? Now you can also do it in Here Comes The Sea!
There may or may not be pirate treasure down there... 🦜

Working on the sea sim. The foam of the waves was kind of jarring and stuttering before, and I'm opting for a smooth wave now.
What do you think?

Here's another closer look at the smooth sand texture & shading.
I'm still torn between this look, and the more cartoony vibe. In game, the triangle look is actually more fun.

Anyone here want to test a beta version where you can switch the look?
