Thousands of people have gathered in downtown Denver for today’s No Kings protest against the Trump administration. Similar smaller protests are being held across Colorado. #copolitics

My kid did 5 highers - so much work, so now they are doing 2 advanced highers and 2 highers mostly for interest's sake.

That strange unpleasant noise you hear is the drones of the unionist media avidly trawling the stats to find *something* which lets them put a negative spin on this story.

It feels like the moment a company grows big enough all highers ups just lose touch with humanity and decide to be the most blatant caricature of evil rich guys.

Thinking about contrast. Firmly disciplining a princess to have proper language and demeanour, be polite, listen to her highers. But training her into a spoiled indolent embarrassing pet at the same time - undignified outfits and accessories and lifestyle...

Not in Scotland though, we don't do A-Levels. We can do up to 5 Highers in 5th year (roughly equivalent to A-level) then a mix of Highers and Advanced Highers (roughly equivalent to first year of university) in 6th year. By the time I left school I had 7 Highers & 1 Advanced Higher.

My teen had this same complaint when she was doing Advanced Highers - that all the books were just *bleak af*.
I'm all for some dramatic catharsis for teens but how about mixing it up a bit? How about some joy?

I feel bad for the people there I worked with who stuck around, but the highers-up can go eat shit. They built a monstrous beast that chewed up a lot of good people and spat them out

The short answer is that lawyers send memos/emails to whoever needs to do/stop doing something. And if the violations don’t stop, plaintiffs file a motion to enforce/for contempt—and the judge grills the DOJ lawyer/possibly summons highers up, then adds more explicit penalties for noncompliance. 1/

Shoutout to everyone who was working in youth ministry and had a room full of junior highers during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show.

My daughters best friend in NI has a sister who just got 4 A* highers. She has been offered Oxford & Cambridge, and after visits, she decided nope not for her and proudly chosen Edinburgh. Well done Erin you're a credit to your family girl. Xx
