Just over five months since I spoke to my GP about it I had my right hip replaced today, wonderful NHS service! I know that folk in some areas have to wait much longer than that for a consultation, but proof that waiting lists are coming down, especially here in East Anglia!

If you’ve ever had chronic knee pain, even after knee surgery and doctors have said there’s nothing wrong, have your hips checked. Both my husband and sister had pain in their knees that docs couldn’t diagnose that went away when they were found to need hip replacement. 🤷♀️

At 6’3” 260lbs, hitting a 315 squat isn’t widely considered to be a that big a deal in the gym world, but considering I had my goddamn hip cut out of my body & replaced with an artificial one less than 18 months ago… I’m a go ahead & give myself some flowers
