Rise in inflammation, histamine, stress, salt, refined sugar, chemicals, etc. are probably buried in those factors too.

I ate junky comfort food all weekend out of laziness—now I need to eat cold (but healthy) food out of laziness so I don’t have a major histamine flare.

Let’s end the weekend the way it started - with my body wigging out from god knows what. Two Benadryls and a steroid cream to hit the hives. Still itchy but less so. Tomorrow’s histamine hangover is gonna suck.

I think him taking his meds was helping cause that IS supposed to correct a histamine issue.....and what controls the scent you have your partner picks up on? MHC genes. 😟 but like I feel awful.....worrying about this and him pushing me moving in isn't helping.

Finally got the iron supplement the specialist recommended and took my first one. Fingers crossed it doesn't destroy my guts or cause a histamine reaction.

Just more Responsible Adult things.

Which is why I have to avoid most food and buy meat from a farm that doesn't feed its animals soy. Soy and every additive blasts my histamine levels. Even "healthy" foods can affect someone. It's not always the food itself. It's the soil, processing, preservatives, and pesticides. Fragrances 🤢

I know a lot of you haters are pro-histamine. But we have to agree the noble anti-histamine is one of the top 20 human innovations ever. One pill and I'm 80% less snotty.

Ah, histamine! None of mine have done that yet, but after years, I still sometimes catch sight of them in the shower without my glasses on and go "GAH! WHATHEFUCKISTHA- Oh, right - that thing I liked so much that I paid someone to put it there permanently."

While muscular, visual, energy-related, and respiratory symptoms have been studied, vascular dysfunction and histamine intolerance remain underexplored in Long COVID and even more so in ME/CFS.
A significant evidence gap remains in the systematic investigation of hematological 1/2

Me: minding my own business

My body: What if you suddenly couldn't breathe at bedtime, tho.

[Not anaphylaxis. A lesser histamine fit.]

Apparently the covid one does a bit of a histamine response in the body - I'm going to be dosing when I get mine next month!

You can also run a spoon under very hot tap water and press the back to the offending bug bite! Repeat until you feel relief. The heat breaks down the enzymes that trigger histamine reactions.

cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and anise all make my histamine problems worse. i don’t like fennel or coriander seed in my chai. so i have the golden-milky thing instead

I also don’t believe in it per se, but I’ve been drinking more water ✨for my inflammation✨ (histamine issues make me subtly puffy and hydration helps clear it) and unfortunately I have to admit I do feel better generally too. But it’s hard to separate out really

White blood cells defend your body in different ways. Neutrophils fight bacteria, lymphocytes make antibodies or destroy infected cells, and monocytes clear microbes and debris. Eosinophils help fight parasites, while basophils release histamine during allergic reactions. Together, they protect you.

One hopes not, but cold-induced histamine release is a thing

I had a great time away, and have loads of photos of beautiful things, excellent gelato, and lots of coffee. And proof that 40-something women aren't invisible after all, at least not to insects who like their blood spiced with plenty of histamine and a range of medications.

Histamine Intolerance: Symptoms, Triggers, and Management

Despite growing interest in a possible connection between COVID-19, mast cell activation, and histamine-related symptoms, histamine intolerance remains frequently overlooked in clinical assessments.
