My new insurance (our good friends at CareFirst 🙃) is taking forever to process my prior auth so I was actually looking at goodrx for my Hizentra this morning, and they won't even give a price for it as a "limited distribution medication," so there's literally no way to even get an estimate

Encore un pays, encore je m’infuse. I am in France for a conference and infusing to stay well. June is #myastheniagravis awareness month. Grateful to be here to spread the word.

Evusheld offered passive antibody protection, but it’s no longer available due to variant mismatch. Hizentra (IgG therapy) gives you some broad-spectrum protection, but it doesn’t replace vaccine- or monoclonal-based prevention.

CIDP here. Used to have a nurse do IvIg..then, along came Hizentra. And, it has freed me from a nurse, the pole, infusion. Now, I use Hizentra. Still an infusion but can bring it with me and travel.

#1 Got a letter from Ins. Petrifying. I have had CIDP since 2010. After ICUs & rehabs learning every movement again. Infusions at home, done by a nurse over 3/5days a month. Hated. Then, Yay, Hizentra (new med) self infusion once a week. 7 needles, vials, syringes.Sunday morning. But, freedom.

Hizentra is used to provide IgG (from healthy people) to immunodeficient patients, those who cannot or make little IgG. This helps these patients to better fight infections. 2/6
