I think something this influx of Newsom support has really shown is how few people actually pay attention to the news

The Los Angeles homesless count recorded 45,194 unhoused people in 2026. At the same time it’s estimated there are 85,000 to 100,000 vacant housing units across LA. The solution is staring us in the face. We need a system that requisitions these units. #mayorofLA. @nithyaforthecity.bsky.social
