Orange fades to purple, purple fades to black, and then the whole sky lights up over the hoodoos. 🌅✨ You'll be with travelers from all over the world, trading stories and losing your minds over the colors. Strangers at sunset, nightsky crew by midnight.

Sydney Roosters clinch NRL Grand Final 2026 victory over Newcastle Knights in nail-biting 19-18 finish
The Sydney Roosters have secured their second consecutive NRL Premiership after defeating the Newcastle Knights 19-18 in a thrilling Grand Final at Accor Stadium on Sunday. The match, which saw the Roosters overcome a late surge from the Knights, marked their first premiership since 2019 and broke one of rugby league's longest-standing hoodoos. The Knights, who had aimed to become the first team to go from wooden spooners to premiers in just 12 months, were unable to maintain their early lead. After leading 12-6 at halftime, the Knights struggled in the second half, with the Roosters' James Tedesco proving pivotal in the closing stages. Tedesco, who was a strong contender for the Clive Churchill Medal as the best player on the ground, made two crucial defensive plays to secure the victory. The match was marred by a tragic incident earlier in the day, with a car accident in Newcastle injuring ten people, including three children, as fans gathered to farewell the Knights' team bus. Despite the emotional backdrop, the Roosters' clinical handling of the late Knights' attack sealed their victory. The Roosters also celebrated success in the NRLW Grand Final, defeating the Broncos, while the Dolphins overpowered the Panthers in the State Championship. The Knights' captain, Kalyn Ponga, was visibly distraught after the match, speaking with former teammate Johnathan Thurston. The Roosters' victory was particularly significant as they became the first team to win a Grand Final despite conceding more than 50 points in a regular-season game. The match was a testament to the Roosters' resilience and tactical execution under pressure, with the Knights' hopes of a historic turnaround ending in heartbreak.

Fossilized tree stump at Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah - one of several such documented by paleontologist Charles Sternberg during his exploration of the area in 1921. Being here is like walking through an open-air natural history museum.

Sorry, PP stands for Provincial Park. There are campsites for RVs and tents and whatnot. Some trails. Hoodoos. Pretty neat. But we didn't get there until late, so didn't see a lot.

(5/7) something eerie about being there alone at dusk, like the stones might have eyes or are silently observing us. If ancient civilisations did have visitors from other planets, could these wondrous formations be their signatures or meeting points? What do you think? These hoodoos have been

(2/7) certainly draw an eye or two. But what if they’re more than just geological wonders? Imagine if these formations were known to our ancestors as more than just terrain—maybe they were banners marking an ancient meeting point with extraterrestrials. Some fringe theorists suggest these hoodoos
