#hospital-centred
Truly peak patient centred care when you're a receptionist at a cancer hospital and you're coughing away and not wearing a mask. So good.

3/ The West Siberian region of Kemerovo is one of many to be affected, and faces a healthcare crisis that locals say is already costing lives. A recent scandal has centred on the Maternity Hospital No. 1 in the city of Novokuznetsk, where a number of newborns have died.

Wow. Yeah, not for me either.

I was ICU and spent about 8 months trying to get PPE for our hospital in Brisbane, so we didn’t become the centre of a lockdown.

Spoiler: the last Queensland lockdown was centred on that hospital.

That action was the start of me
losing literally everything.

Who knows the little acts of hardwired prejudice brought to bear upon those she easily denigrates? The little touches, easing stresses & worries of a hospital stay; routinely denied those she can barely look at, nor recognise with a person centred mindset, with personal dogma & discomfort baked in?

One of my favourite albums was recorded on a cassette player. I have a crappy drawing made by an 'objectively' bad musician, drawn in a mental hospital, on my chest. Entire genres and forms are centred around artists not having traditional 'talent'.
Honestly this is an excuse.

I know plenty of people who are not “naturally gifted” who do art.

It requires effort to learn. I feel you did not approach it correctly or think things happen over night.

Also hard work and skill is not “naturally gifted” as that undermines their efforts to draw.

A strange year for me being centred entirely around hospital.

So my records of the year are all clouded by when and where I listened to them.

I have deliberately left them unsorted so that beats abut ambient, noise silence.

A rumpled listen

This feels a bit like prohibiting arsonists from burning hospital emergency rooms in the most populous cities, instead of banning arson.

The most popular social media platforms seem utterly centred on farming outrage and holding everyone's attention to the maximum.
When addictive social media feeds depend on keeping a child's attention at any cost, their well-being takes a back seat.

Enough is enough — we’re requiring these companies to make social media safer for the future of Illinois.

The model was able to simplify instructions effectively, but 18% of outputs had a major safety risk.

Today was SO stressful. As if we don't have enough worrying about Claude. We have another neighbour that takes being self centred to Olympic levels. He has no family here, he's Australian, he's got an ulcerated leg & is refusing hospital. He was asking Marie-Jeanne to take him to the Dr's at 8 30

not sure what this strip is about though. Shrewsbury itself would have been nice

yes. I think one of the effects of the pandemic was to make us all a bit more insulated and self-centred as well. the griefs were hidden. if all you saw was your lovely sourdough (not you), then it was quite hard to believe in those people sobbing alone in a hospital room.

Not only did they (a publicly funded, urban Vancouver hospital) refuse to allow the care, their decision resulted in additional suffering for the patient, and her family. Decisions regarding patient care should always be patient centred.

Occupational therapists play a vital role in keeping people independent.

Their proactive, person-centred approach helps prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, supports recovery at home, and limits the need for long-term care.

Happy #OTWeek25 to our amazing OTs! 💙

But the rest were all done with this series in mind. Most of them are of a character in the middle of a blue scene, but I hesitate to explain too much, if that makes sense?

The context is I was committed to a mental hospital for an acute crisis, and I was angry and lost and scared.
