I'm not using Arch but OBS should be reliable on Linux as a whole, at least if you use the AppImage build. The main downside with OBS is getting global hotkeys working, that can be a mess.

You can reassign hotkeys and move the tool windows around in Clip Studio to put everything where it was in your Photoshop setup so you don't have to change your muscle memory. It opens .psd files. Get off that subscription model!!

awesome, how is that going? I haven't used it for a while. my issue is that I might only need to use blender once every 3 months or w/e and every time I come back to it I forget 80% of the techniques / hotkeys etc. I think doing a bunch of tutorials is a great approach

Hotkeys are a thing but I can't get used to using them but somehow I'm a terrible mouse user these days. I've been cutting down on point-and-click games (FPS) and Brandish in recent years so I guess that's why

Full Throttle and maybe some other updates versions of old quests streamline the UI part of it to some extent, and I wonder if it fixes how clunky it feels. Cause some part of it is that I really don't like clicking RMB multiple times to get to the action I want, and you don't always have hotkeys.
