His intro was very engaging and makes you want to continue watching. His style of just sitting in front of the camera and talking, shows how it's not the most conversation but may be something worth listening to. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

I think it is worth noting his outfit in this picture. I would say he embodies what he talks about in this video as an artist himself. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

How to make art makes a claim to truthfulness that anything can be art. You do not need any talent to have artistic ability. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

#howtomakeart claims the truth by stating what he thinks is art then showing a bunch of examples. If he thinks something is not exploring anything he calls it art like sitting on all of these chairs #hwa5

Hennessy sounds like a chill dude, using loud sounds to pull in the audience. He pulls up very questionable images and says whether it’s art or not. he’s very straight forward man #hwa5 #howtomakeart

He attempts to make claims to truth while still being representational by being himself, he doesn't claim to be this art genius, but his mixture of confidence and nonchalance sort of makes you take what he says seriously. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

I feel like his showing the art, and talking about what is art and what's not art based on examples helped the viewers. Simple but direct language made it look like "he knows what hes talking about". #hwa5 #howtomakeart

It starts out engaging with mostly just sound as this man tells us how to make art and how talent doesn't matter. It then turns to imagery as this man shows bizarre pictures that are considered art essentially just because we say so. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

This documentary was definitely interesting. I feel like the setup, and him just using a normal, day-to-day language and jokes made feel more real. It felt like talking to a friend about art, it felt more natural and more understandable! #hwa5 #howtomakeart

this doc uses sound with background noises and sound effects in the right places (ex. when he says "art!" or "not art!') + it feels right in place, like hes making a statement w/ it. imagery is perfect and scenery feels real, like ur talking to him irl, but he's talking to a cam #hwa5 #howtomakeart

The claims to truth here while still being representational is how the speaker simplifies the idea of using everyday objects in a non-functional context as art. I think that there can be multiple definitions in terms of art and what makes someone successful in art, itself. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

this doc claims to truth bc he's helping ppl on the internet on how to make an art, giving off facts (technically js his opinions but critique and advice from himself), and it represents how real he is cuz at the end of the day, he's talking to a cam bc it was his true motive #hwa5 #howtomakeart

This doc used sound differently in comparison to the previous film. The previous film used sound along with the narrative to create a built-up emotion. This used sound during the transitions. It makes more sense used this way since this film was more direct in its message. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

#hwa5 #howtomakeart Claims of truth in this are the pictures he uses as examples of what he considers to be art. Although there's no mention of another party, he's definitely not the only person to have the mindset he has, so he's representing that population of people.

#hwa5 #howtomakeart A guy recording a video in his room, doesn't make any edits or add filters to himself while speaking his piece. He gave us pictures to provide examples, and adds sound effects more-so for comedic reasons. Overall, nonserious and for laughs.

Howtomakeart was at the bottom. It was a funny watch, but it was just based on opinions and clearly poorly made.

He uses (some) real pieces of art to make his point. He's able to interweave it throughout his video so that those watching would be able to follow pretty easily and generally agree with him. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

I think the grainy footage and lack of music really portray him in a friendly type of way. Like someone you would be getting advice from. Also, he applies a lot of visual effects to emphasize his point and makes it easy to follow. #hwa5 #howtomakeart

This documentary attempts to make claims to truth by being authentic in how he presents his examples of what art is and shows real examples.

This documentary focuses more on images and sounds to explain how to make art. I feel like his demanor show how ART can be ANYTHING. He is confident in explaining how there is so many examples of art.
March 9, 2026 at 12:48 AM
#hwa5 #howtomakeart The documentary makes claims to truth by actually referencing real pieces of art, basically as supporting evidence for his claim. It remains representational however because this is his subjective perspective, and he embodies that with his clothing, editing style, and music choic
