Make sure the dehumidifier drains into the humidifier water supply, and you have a perpetual (de)humidification machine! Aka a space heater that incubates and aerosolizes microorganisms.

This is interesting. Microsoft states that water is used for cooling but also humidification. And the difference in water usage effectiveness between Arizona (extremely dry, 1.52 l/kWh) and Singapore (extremely humid, 0.02 l/kWh) suggests that most of the water is for humidification, not cooling?

Boil for 6 hours or so and the trotter falls apart and a beautiful broth full of collagen/gelatin remains.
Freeze that for later to make soup after work.
Boil sweet potato 🍠 noodles and store those, too.
Plus the house smells great.

The City-County Archives went on a great field trip yesterday, visiting Ball State’s architectural archivist Cody Sprunger. We learned about DIY humidification chambers to make our architectural drawing collection work more efficient. And of course we had to end the trip with some Pizza King!

we also tried to make the new house as friendly to our bodies as possible with low-VOC products, central hepa filtration and humidification. my current rental really flares my allergies and I’m eager to get out
