Also I find the insistence on top/bottom (dom/sub) identities in modern fandom unsettling? Like, it's this weird need to gatekeep and set boundaries in a humorless way when you're like "girl it's not that deep, Agatha Harkness would also fuck 1977 Harrison Ford."

I recoiled from TC when it launched. People don't get that Warhammer's secret sauce is the weird humor mixed in with the grimdark and TC was just humorless. That campaign set and enlisting Jervis Johnson, who GETS IT, is starting to get there.
