We had a real treat the other day in the Lamar Valley. Spotted this lone grizzly foraging just off the road. Bears are in "hyperphagia." A supercharged mode where they spend much of their day bulking up before the long winter.

My recent visit to the hummingbird sanctuary must've boosted my mojo at home! The rufous are now mostly gone and cooler temps along with hyperphagia have made for a busy buzz around the neighborhood!
