#hypervigilence
I’m definitely in the “fight” and “anger/hypervigilence” groups.
New, at Can We Still Govern: Rachael worked as a govt technologist, specializing in trauma-informed design of public services.

Then the Trump admin promised to put her and other public employees "in trauma."

She explains what this means.

Yeah my hypervigilence due to childhood trauma is kind of being a pain right now.
I've talked to a many people who can't sleep because of all the craziness in the world. I didn't sleep at all Tuesday night into Wednesday nor last night. Lots of anxiety out here. The thing that sent me over the edge last night was sinking the Iranian vessel & leaving the sailors behind to drown.

And if they *do* notice this transformation, they probably perceive it as a good thing. An intentional change.

They aren't traumatizing themselves, they are *being radicalized*. Ignore the anxiety attacks and aggressive hypervigilence and the intrusive thoughts actively disrupting everyday life.

hypervigilence of homosexuality made every act a sex-act and therefor it has accidently (and wonderfully) made people finally agree that sex is a social good, actually

the alternative is to live the way insecure straight men do,
in self-imposed tactile exile

they do it to themselves
they blame us

Rather unfortunate that the hypervigilence keeps saving my ass from threats

The very first thing a cop is trained is into PTSD hypervigilence, to be ready to escalate into lethal violence at a moment's notice over anything, to view everyone he he meets as an enemy.

It's drilled in via literal snuff films and gore porn.

We spend our lives in a state of hypervigilence, waiting for the next assault.

Having to explain to my therapist that my hypervigilence about random strangers' tattoos is actually rational

Social media is so much better without hypervigilence and over thinking

cancel culture isn’t real but it’s absolutely true that there is this sort of hypervigilence about relatively benign things that the trolls absolutely take advantage of

one of the worst things about being a horror fan with ptsd-related paranoia is that i can't enjoy most ghost/entity/haunting related horror bc it can cause me extreme hypervigilence and even psychosis.

doctors are trying to make me believe that my prophetic visions are actually "hypervigilence"

seconding this, it is LETHAL and i'm not joking. sorry if this is undue hypervigilence

Having Trump in the White House was like having my abusive dad as president, four years of constant hypervigilence (coincidentally I went completely no contact with my dad about a year before Trump was elected)
I feel like there are a lot of people who have forgotten what it was like during the Trump years to wake up every morning afraid to look at your phone and see what fresh atrocity happened since you went to sleep…

but yeah

therapy noises =/= therapy
computing =/= recreation
exhaustion =/= normal
hypervigilence =/= safety
scrolling =/= reading
doomscrolling =/= preparedness
recreation =/= laziness
second-screen =/= watching
rationalization =/= reality
knowing =/= understanding

Had to spend a couple of hours w/noise-canceling headphones, and then Amy chilling me out a bit.

Just got overloaded. So overstimulated.

I forgot how good my noise-canceling earbuds are for the BOOMs.

I don't have gunfire PTSD, but it triggers my PTSD hypervigilence and anxienty nonetheless

A nurse witnessed me dodge a banana thrown at the back of my head while I worked Behavioral Health. I explained, "Hypervigilence and good comedic timing."

Still struggling with hypervigilence and letting go of the heaviness. I want to socialize without constantly feeling I'm being scrutinized for my actions, responses, and reactions.

No one I know are doing it. It's my insecurity perceiving it.

i know my paranoid symptoms could very well be just hypervigilence from ptsd, but still

Before something set off all sorts of hypervigilence and negativity, I #colored a #drawing and was going to post it, so I think maybe I should go ahead and do that. #bskyart

to the generic cisperson:

if you are sick of hearing about my transness, give me enough safety where i don't have to point out the danger and constantly justify myself

if you think i'm nuts, give me enough safety to no longer need to require hypervigilence to survive

its hard, bro

big "I wish I were pretty, young and feminine instead of aging ugly, and irritable thanks partly to hypervigilence" energy, like I could never be desirable because I'm on edge.

I see you. Table for 2 at hypervigilence this evening?
