UPDATE: full disclosure- I’m now taking the bus. Why? It’s going to be 88 today and I suffer from hypohidrosis (anhidrosis) and heat is not my friend. But it important I’m there to protest, now I’m just making a smarter choice on getting there and back.

hoping the breathability of socks and sandals will keep my feet cooler.

Yeah I have Hypohidrosis so most of my sweat glands don’t work so I get overheated very quickly. I thought I was taking long enough breaks between sets with enough hydration but apparently not.

My ex has hypohidrosis due to her h-EDS and lipedema, so she basically had to wet her hair to cool down, because she doesn't sweat and has to wear compression gear during summer / all year.

I’m not a medical professional. It’s not a symptom I recall hearing much but it’s possible some have it but don’t mention it. Medical terms are hypohidrosis or anhidrosis

hypohidrosis is considered a dangerous medical condition where you're unable to moderate your body temperature due to a malfunction of the sweat glands. Isn't it weird how we're now pressuring women into not sweating at all????

Yep. I can overheat if it’s over 75°F or end up with hypothermia if it’s at/below 50°F, and Sjögren’s related hypohidrosis makes the overheating risk even worse.

That was back when I still had a kind of hypohidrosis and for me to be sweating that much is actually so rare I think my body was already changing a little before HRT but yeah I was actually exhausted from a workout I had just come in from the summer heat into the kitchen AC

I was only out in the heat walking just a block to my destination & a block back, but the heat index is 100° F (38⁰ C) & I have #hypohidrosis, so my body doesn't cool itself down w/sweat. Today I didn't sweat a drop in this heat. It can be really fucking dangerous in the heat to not sweat. #POTS

A lady I dated didn't wear underwear because she has hypohidrosis. Hot and humid weather can kill her because she can't sweat normally. She needs to eat ice and wear as little as possible due to this. We went to an outdoor concert where she only wore a dress with nothing underneath.
