I am on my way to ICFA. It is still very hard to navigate SFF conventions after Caitlin’s death, though I am glad to be seeing so many friends and colleagues. It’s been a long time since my last ICFA.

I’m reminded of when I got to hang out one evening with Peter Straub at the pool during The International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts (ICFA). I got to tell him how I’d loved The Talisman since I was 12 years old and read so much of his work. It was surreal. 😌

Today was multiple flight delays getting out of Champaign, a rebooked flight that became a cancelled flight, and now I am here alone at the Chicago TARDIS Westin. Hopefully, better luck getting to ICFA tomorrow. 😔
