Does anyone know any good collection tracking apps? Can be specifically for manga/books or a general collection tracker app.
I’ve used iCollect for a few years now, but uh… I think I’m probably going to look into switching to something else bc wtf is this
A screenshot of my iCollect app. I am in the process of adding my newest manga and light novel purchases to the collection. I scanned in a copy of “The Devil is a Part-Timer!” volume 14 of the light novel. However, for some reason, the app put the title of the book as “The Devil is A Vol. 14 Light Novel by Satoshi Wagahara English Part Timer! Paperback.” Another screenshot of an attempt to add my copy of “Love Bullet” volume 1 to the collection. The image uploaded by the app is not the cover of the volume, but instead a photograph someone took of the book placed on a table, supposedly from someone advertising or promoting the book on their platform or blog. The title of the book has been replaced with “Love Bullet 1 Inee Love Bullet Vol. 1 by Inee Paperback By Volume 1 Book.” Cont. I tried to replace the image in the previous screenshot with the correct image; the cover of the manga itself. Upon trying to upload the image, the app prompted me with this pop-up notification; “Would you like us to clean up this image for you? We can clean up, straighten, de-skew, crop, remove shadows and reflections, and rotate your images to make them look almost like perfect stock photos. This will use 3 Al scans and may take up to a minute or two to complete. You currently have 15 Al scans remaining. Note: Al results may not be perfect and you can always use Manual Crop if needed. Yes No No, Don't Ask Again” I quickly chose “No, Don’t Ask Again” because why the fuck would I want a feature like this in my collection app??

Anyone know any good collection apps for a variety of trading cards? I collect weird cards from different sets so most apps don't really work that great and just want specific types of cards 😓 I tried an app called iCollect Everything and they wanted to charge $100 to add more than 30 items. ☠️☠️🙈

Check out iCollect. It has barcode and isbn scanning. It has a free version that you can test out. I paid for the basic upgrade level ($20??) and it works pretty well.

EFTA01092647 | EFTA01092648 Collectify Description. If you are not comfortable with a cloud based system like iCollect, Collectify is our next best option. It is a software based system, so all of the data "lives" in the computers of its users. Collectify also has a cloud based system that they have recently developed, but their representative told me that they are intend to continue to support the software based system "for some period of time." Collectify is less customizable than iCollect, and it also is not set up for two users to be in the system at the same time, so Rich and I could not be entering information or running reports simultaneously. That said, it does allow me to run fairly customizable reports and to upload documents like invoices and loan agreements to the database so that all information about a particular work of art is kept in one centralized location. I have attached printouts from the Collectify website (www.collectify.com) so you can see what the database looks like. Pricing. The cost is a $150 one-time fee for one user, so $300 for Rich Joslin and me. Because this is a software based system as opposed to a cloud based system, our tech support people said that they would need to add capacity to my computer and to Rich's in order to run the software. Recommendation I recommend that we use iCollect for our collection management database. iCollect is the most complete and most customizable of the available databases. It was designed for major collectors, as opposed to some of the other databases, which are really set up more for individuals to keep track of their home furnishings for insurance purposes (like Collectify) or, at the opposite end of the spectrum, for art galleries to manage their extensive inventory across multiple locations around the world.
