2) Every tax letter that I've received from the IRS has been addressed to "United Kingdom England". I LIVE IN SCOTLAND. That being said, IDme accepts my UK phone number without fuss, unlike pretty much any other US finance-related 2FA.

"The IDme account does not match your currently configured IDme account" is the least helpful error message Florida could give me for an account that was never previously connected with IDme. Sound of one hand clapping style error message.

I thought the id verification market was like 12 companies: the credit bureaus, idme, idemia, lexis, clear, etc. but there are so many, I gotta catch em all (without having the scope be all data brokers & apps)

I got aged out of ACA plan. With the exceptions of giving up my first born, a pound of flesh, and sexual favors - it took 4 hours to apply for Medicare. They do a background check. There is NO WAY an undocumented person can apply, let alone “launder” $s thru the system. It’s a lie & they know it.

VA used login.gov before they added IDme. And it did not require the facial IDing until after DOGE. VA switched to it a couple years ago but I can't remember when SS did. No problems until DOGE.
