In honor of #IgANDay, we wanted to share this painting by @glombandit.bsky.social.

It shows glomeruli with mesangial hypercellularity, endocapillary hypercellularity, and crescent formation. These findings can be seen in IgA nephropathy, and other active glomerulonephritides.

Figure 1 shows a renal biopsy from a 29-year-old man with no significant past medical history, who was found to have microscopic hematuria and non-nephrotic range proteinuria.
