I use NextGen from Imagely for my galleries. I paid for a lifetime subscription, but they might have a free version.
The images I use for posts just go into the WordPress Media Library.

Ik kan helemaal van slag raken als een wordpress-thema zogenaamd verbeteringen doorvoert waarbij complete functies verdwijnen. En alles onder het mom van ‘we listened to you’ en alles is mooier en sneller.
