New article announcement: Along with Meg Botello and @elenamsilla.bsky.social, we write about small changes that teachers reported in their after participating in a conference presentation about rough draft math (see figure below). (Alt text restates ideas in figure.)

After attending a conference, teachers' thinking shifted to understand the value of revising, that students can learn while making mistakes, that teachers can intentionally use language while teaching to promote drafting and revising, that peer collaboration supports revising, that rough drafting and revising can happen in math (not just language arts), and that rough drafting and revising in mathematics class is feasible to implement.
