Japanese indigo plants growing outdoors. An indigo starter solution in a 1/2 gallon mason jar. The liquid is amber yellow with a thin layer of blue on top. Two stainless steel pots on a stove. One is full of cotton and linen cloth, the other is full of wool and silk yarns. The fiber is being scoured in preparation for being dyed with indigo.
