#inerrant
She was inerrant in her characterizations of Trump in 2016 and then Pizzagate rewrote her personal history. Don’t tell me it’s not personal for her.

The Bible is inerrant. Except about socks?

Why are you always right? Your takes are literally inerrant. It's incredible.

They don’t get poetry or metaphor, everything in their bible has to be inerrant

"The other is fundamentalism, that the Bible is inerrant. What surprised me is that American fundamentalism only goes back about 100 years; before that, the Bible was open to many interpretations."

"Once you see it as inerrant, there’s only one truth, and anyone that doesn’t follow is going to hell. So, my central question became: how does that sincere belief, and I have no doubt it’s sincere, interact with our pluralistic democracy?"

Playtest reports; the in-house group is inerrant

But those batshit evangelical inerrant-scripture believing loons are still there, voting on legislation and making everything just that little bit worse for everyone.

Word of god is absolute, literal and inerrant, except for the "thief in the night" line, of course. Jesus forgot about numerology.

Your Opinions: false, illogical, manufactured by a Russian Bot farm. Gross.

My Opinions: Holy, Inerrant, hand crafted for me by beautiful lesbian arts majors on YouTube.

We are not the same.

Stalinist style science directorate in a nutshell. Reality must follow the inerrant party line or be sent to the gulag.

My understanding is that Christina could be talking about anything from the 1900s and it would still be foreign to Uncle Dad's Good Time Inerrant Bible Hour and Feed & Seed that you escaped from

Very interesting. Debatable, definitely. Unlikely to be ever proven one way or the other, which sucks since it would kick the bricks out from under the "literal, inerrant, direct, in its current * cough*KJ/NIV/whatever*cough* form" position.
No, nevermind. They'd just say "but JAYZUS' side is true."

Fun challenge when debating people who believe the Bible is inerrant:

Point out the order of creation given in Genesis 1 (plants, then animals, then humans) is contradicted by the order in Genesis 2 (man, then...

Joel is the pastor at a church where they subscribe to an “inerrant” Bible. Has no one yet told him there were 4 people, and then only 3 after Cain offed Abel, and moved to Nod, east of Eden, where he married his wife and built a city?

I expect that, to the extent that Trump is not obsessing over the midterms and the all-consuming "fake news" (which means "objective truth"), he intends to bomb the shit out of Iran (which has outplayed him at every turn). Donald is inerrant. It's not his fault that gas is expensive. "Iran did it."

Evangelicals tend to claim that the Bible is the literal and inerrant word of an omnipotent and omniscient being. This means that, to them, Jesus' teachings on empathy and forgiveness are supposed to be "literal truths."

(And as mentioned above, when we get to the actual laws the “actual word” forbidding child sacrifice is pretty clear. Assuming one believes that the Bible is “the inerrant word of G-d” in the first place, which personally I don’t.)

As a progressive Christian it bewilders me too. Conservative Christians only cherrypick the bits that fit their worldview to say the Bible is the inerrant word of God

Sorry, "Statement 2" is leading, inserting a religious result, where Statement 1 describes a non-religious result for "society".

This makes the poll result unsurprising, as empathy is stacked up against a core evangelical belief in the inerrant word of God.

Kinda useless, but nice for outrage.

I once had a chat with a christian apologist taking an inerrant position... and I asked him if he'd actually read all the bible.
He paused and replied "No"
I said he was intellectually dishonest to take a certainty position until he's actually read it!

Conditional!sm makes more sense to me, both from a secular and theist standpoint. This is because apolog!sts speak for an inerrant reading of the scripture and (fair, just) God. Plus as someone who have read the big book, it repeated the dichotomy of wickedness/unbelief = death.

It is a fallacy to think what is legal equals moral, good, or even just and right. That fallacy sums up America's holding up the Constitution like some holy and inerrant writ.

It's simultaneously hilarious, sad, pathetic and oddly reassuring that people in my feed discuss – at the same time – the questions of whether AI will soon make human thinking obsolete and whether the Bible is the inerrant and infallible word of God.
