I wandered around and around, bumping into a dead end now and again
the people speaking over the, intercoms or whatever, would tell me to turn around - but every time they referred to me, it was with a different name or with a different little term...

Then tech killed the intercoms during an upgrade.
After the intercom died, left and right started getting wildly different numbers. The only logical conclusion is that losing the intercoms negatively impacted usher eyesight.

SFO is lovely. It is to get to, including by public transit. Security is pretty chill. There is good local food. The art and history exhibits in the terminals are genuinely interesting. It’s a “quiet airport,” so they aren’t constantly squawking on the intercoms. It has many international flights.
Actually, you know what? Let’s stop complaining for a second. QT this with a GOOD airport. Defend that title as much or as little as you like. But let’s hear about airports that don’t suck.

New Etobicoke basement (for me). Early 80s vintage. Omg I remember these intercoms in suburban Windsor houses from same era. They were so aspirational. Patio! Working class people installed these in Windsor. Deep in Ford Nation tonight. So deep.
