Every time I see people complain about TME/TMA it really amounts to 'I don't understand intersectionality and I'm entitled to ignoring qualifiers in conversation.'

Not to be an insufferable etymology nerd, but the term transmisogyny was coined before the term misogynoir. Of course, the framework of intersectionality predates both words.

It IS in fact weirdo behavior to not have each others backs in solidarity, or to have community in mind.

I don't mean that intersectionality is a bad framework, but if we're saying something like anti-Black racism and transphobia and misogyny are all independently some form of transmisogynoir by themselves, then intersectionality theory needs an update. Which is fine, of course

Totally unrelated but I wrote a book chapter in 2019 called “Black-Palestinian Solidarity: Towards an Intersectionality of Struggles” that also includes the importance of Jewish solidarity, so please don’t read it as Jewish Insider would call you antisemitic
