A large explosion of gas from the still room at Inverboyndie/Banff distillery destroys all the workings and the large stock of whisky at the site, causing £10,000 worth of damage. The warehousing and bonded stores were saved from the flames.

I WAS going to go to Whitehills for the W, but I think the beach is, properly, Inverboyndie.
So, even nearer, I went to Whinnyfold (Finnyfaul, for the locals).
The access path was probably good for goats. Water was warm

Looking tantalisingly close to being finished at St. Brandan's Inverboyndie. The work is to ensure the graveyard remains open & safe for those attending the graves & memorials of loved ones. But also protects this monument (of national significance) with a history spanning back to the 12th century.
