Illustrated US cover of ‘I Shall Never Fall In Love’ by Hari Conner. Three teens in regency outfits sit on the grass, one is Black with a high-neck yellow striped dress, holding a teacup dreamily, the other two are white, almost-holding hands, one in a blue dress and the other in a skirt but more gender ambiguous jacket and shirt. Period buildings and English countryside frame the cursive title.

had fun making this mini video of how I make a comics page: embarrassingly intense thumbnails and character roughs, then absolutely winging the backgrounds #comics #isnfil

(also cheating. I've been enabled)
Two comic panels from I Shall Never Fall in Love. George (a white character in an 1800s formal dress but a military jacket and period-androgynous hair) looking increasingly FRAZZLED and making noises of repression. Captions read 'of course George loved her' and then 'but they'd always rather thought no one noticed how MUCH'

Top ten comics panels taken moments before disaster. I Shall Never Fall in Love is out now in the UK & Australia, and very soon in the US ✨ here's a deceptively tranquil looking panel from a ball that extremely does NOT go according to plan after this moment

I Shall Never Fall in Love: regency romcom, graphic novel. Austen + real queer history mashup plot with a n-b/ transmasc MC

Into the Tower: a choose-your-own-path (and gender) weird fantasy
Cover of ‘I Shall Never Fall in Love’ graphic novel by Hari Conner. Behind the curly title, a drawing of three teens sat outside in historical england: on the left a black girl with a cup of tea, sat beside a white girl looking romantically towards a white person with a kind of gender ambiguous skirt-but-also-cravat outfit Photo of 'Into the tower, a choose your own path book' by Hari Conner, showing a ridiculously tall medeival looking tower with a big burst of crazy magic stuff (monsters, strange objects and flying ships) through the centre. Above, the graphic shows a black & white interior illustration and says 'no DM or experience required' and a screenshot of a 5 star review titled 'have died many times'

happy valentines, here are some of my favourite low-key romantic panels from I Shall Never Fall in Love #isnfil #comics
A comic panel from I Shall Never Fall in Love, with George leaning adoringly over a card table towards a girl saying 'that's very funny, you're SO funny' Comic panels from I Shall Never Fall in Love with a young couple on a country lane, a shy guy offering Charlotte flowers saying 'I'm sure these are a very humble gift for a lady used to balls in town...' Historical comic panel of George exaggeratedly-chivalrously helping Eleanor onto her horse, saying 'my lady~'

fairly sure my publishers want me to give them 'viral' 'tiktok' ''content'', but in fact the only videos I can provide are NICHE HISTORICAL/ DRAWING so... that's what I've been doing.

there are some nice previews of my art in it though, here are some of them

Illustrated UK cover of the graphic novel ‘I Shall Never Fall in Love’ by Hari Conner. A drawing of two teens sat back-to-back looking at each other MAYBE-romantically. both are white and in historical outfits, one a dress and the other a more gender-ambiguous jacket. They’re on a bright, modern background with small doodles of flourishes, top hats, ink and books. ‘UK back cover WIP’ comic for I shall never fall in love. In a carriage outside a ball in regency London, 3 cartoon teens are looking comedically miserable. The text reads: It’s 1818. Three friends are coming of age. It’s not going to plan.’ The characters are introduced in the next panels. A blonde white girl looking confidently at the viewer: ‘To be a perfect lady, you have to fall in love with a man… so why’s Eleanor finding that so hard?’ A quiet girl with brown skin holds a teacup, looking away: ‘Her cousin charlotte should be looking for a practical match, not following her heart.’ A white character with dark hair and men’s historical suit blushes while looking up at Eleanor. ‘And her best friend George is supposed to have grown out of wearing men’s clothes… and they’re definitely not supposed to like eleanor like THAT.’

i've been leaning hard into the comfort reading recently, and nothing hits like queer comics. ISNFIL was delightful, i'm always impressed by GNs that pack a lot of story in without rushing the pace. TGSWIIWAGAA is adorable, the characters and expressions are so charming, and i love the green 💚

5⭐ Not a graphic novel reader: disability makes text tough so I read audiobooks, but couldn't resist the concept. Took me more time to read but I loved ISNFIL. The end notes were fun and your research & understanding came through cover to cover. 💙 reclaiming Regency for all colors, classes, & crips.
The cover of the graphic novel “I Shall Never Fall in Love,” by Hari Conner, shows three friends in Regency attire seated shoulder to shoulder. The tea-sipping Black woman is gazing off dreamily to her right. At her left, her two friends are in a blushing mutual gaze, while their hands nearly touch. While both the Black girl and the white girl in the center wear classic high-waisted Regency gowns, the friend on their left wears clothes with mannish tailoring. The fashions and the buildings in the background promise by their style a careful attention to authentic historic detail. The young women’s expressive faces promise fun and frolics. All promises are paid off delightfully in the charmingly illustrated and well researched short novel.
