Pastoralists are stewards of Indigenous & local knowledge, & care for rangelands that span half the planet.

In this 2026 International #YearofRangelandsPastoralists, we honour both the lands & the communities that depend on them.

🧐 #IYRP2026
Me too, but society isn't conducive to large herbivores running around.

That's one of the reasons why I advocate for supervised grazing and migrations, with either wild herbivores or livestock, or both.

We need a herbivore infrastructure network to get them into as many places as possible.

With support from UN Mountains & @fao.org, & funding from Italian Development Cooperation, she turns yak milk into artisanal cheese, increasing income & reducing post-harvest losses.
