Yes, I also noticed that. Could be anything from a kid in need of 24hr care to a kid who needs an occasional babysitter who doesn’t mind doing a lot of jigsaws. And of course many people on much lower salaries are also dealing with these care needs.

A lot of talk about stockpiling food etc in case of crisis
Probably a good time to go to your local charity shop and stockpile books, games, jigsaws and some toys if you have kids, too. There's little downside to this- good entertainment if needed and supports charities as well

And not least, we do several jigsaws over the Winter months. We don't have wall space to display them. So, we take a photo and preserve the memory there.

The illusion is that memory is rational or linear, or that it all comes 'flooding back'. One day, I remember one thing. Months later, something else. Again and again, like a slow-release drug. It's like trying to do several jigsaws all at once, not knowing which new piece slots into which puzzle.

I spent days 2 and 3 bored out of my mind, doing jigsaws on my mum's dining table and trying to remind myself not to reach too far for the pieces because my body wasn't giving me any pain alerts.

Gifts can be of any nature not necessarily material. A homemade biscuit or jar of jam, a walk outside… I am a christmasy kinda person, it’s a time to slow down and be with family, indulge in jigsaws. ClimateAction is important! But I leave the skiing to others. I just walk.

Spoilers for Jigsaw (2017): this movie is the first one to show jigsaws traps not going according to plan and he has to run out embarrassed to try to correct the experience. I have to imagine its not the only time thats happened.

Been playing some @flebpuzzles.bsky.social games this weekend and I enjoyed them a lot! Strange Jigsaws is especially awesome, I'm not the best at puzzle games and it was a bit frustrating at times but it was overall a great experience. Hyped for the their next games!!
