The reason John from Season 1 of "Taxi" was never seen again is because he was cursed to drive a cab for eternity, picking up characters who were written out of other TV shows. So if you're wondering about Chuck Cunningham, or Mrs. Garrett's other girls, or Ugly John from the 4077th, wonder no more.
