“Do you hate me?”
The building static was their blanket, warm and smothering —
“I don’t.”
— and it held him softer than she did.

Digital art of Georgie and John from The Magnus Archives, laying on a background of dark, swirling water. Georgie is depicted as a fat black woman in a black WTG goodie, with long purple-and-brown hair held into buns atop her head. Her expression is tired and sad, and she anxiously holds her chest with one hand and reaches out to stroke John's hair with the other. Beside her is the repeating text "I go to work, I punch a clock, I do the same thing day in and day out". John, upside-down at Georgie's side, is depicted as a bony brown man with dark, scraggly hair with stray antennae of gray. He's scarred and his face is shadowed, and he wears a dark red WTG hoodie. The whites of his eyes glow green as he reaches to touch Georgie's hair with one hand and holds a tape recorder in the other. Beside him is the repeating text "Yes, a war is coming". At the top of the image is the text "Now, We Just slowly Circle The Draining Fish Bowl", beneath it "A Magnus Archives fanfiction by Bandtrees". The previous image, lightened slightly and without text.

The background is sunset-colored watercolor splotches, with black splotches around the two of them, mostly John.
