The sculpture is meticulously constructed from deadwood gathered from a forest floor near Hamburg, Germany. The artwork is designed to look like a giant, cresting ocean wave sweeping through the trees.

C19-3 diary by Jörg Gläscher, 2020-1 (photography)

Photograph titled "C19-3 diary" by Jörg Gläscher, 2020–21. A grid of twenty-four used disposable latex or nitrile gloves, each photographed individually against a pure black background and arranged in two groups of twelve in a four-row, three-column layout on each side. The gloves are white and translucent, crumpled and creased from use, their fingers partially collapsed or twisted into irregular postures — some fingers extended, some curled, some splayed. The network of creases and folds across each glove's surface records the specific movements and pressures of the hands that wore them, giving each one a distinct gestural character, almost like a cast or impression of an absent hand. Lit cleanly from the front against the black ground, each glove is rendered with sharp detail. The serial, taxonomic arrangement — methodical, documentary, diary-like as the title suggests — transforms objects of pandemic-era medical routine into a collective record of labour, caution, and physical presence, the discarded gloves standing in for the hands and bodies of workers navigating the COVID-19 period.
