To repeat: The purpose of journalism is to make the world LEGIBLE, so that the public can make informed decisions to shape our collective future.
Recirculating/repackaging disinformation is the OPPOSITE of journalism. Not just poor journalism, or bad journalism. It's the OPPOSITE of journalim.
It’s not real journalism if all you did was stenographically rehash a social media discourse where one side is actually circulating disinformation that is easily refuted with the most basic research

Laura Ingram is an evil monster who pollutes our civic discourse with lies, disinformation, hate speech, and neofascist MAGA propaganda. She is a disgrace to broadcast journalim.

imo even when journalim was "good" it was like this. The amount of these stories like "I saw all these starving people, anyway then I went back to eat at my expensive hotel"

"We’re subsidizing American tech giants that have been undermining Canada’s economy as much as our sovereignty for many years. Amazon has decimated Main Street. Airbnb eliminated cheap rental housing. Google destroyed the ad revenue that funded journalim..."

What was Mark Carney thinking when he walked back the digital services tax?
We’re subsidizing American tech giants that have been undermining Canada’s economy as much as our sovereignty for many years
