A few minutes ago my son came into my office with a "Tetris" game he got at Christmas. He used the colored pieces to create a beach scene complete with darker blue where the deeper water started. I envy his innocence and am also glad for it at the same time. Here's to more art.

Icicles. I love how the steady drip-drip-drip of snow melting becomes beautiful sculptures. Last night we had tons of tiny clear ones and this morning they caught and reflected the sun, making little rainbows in my living room.

Day 16: Today I am thankful for indoor plumbing. I need to get up and take a shower and to do so I don’t have to boil water I hand pumped or have a cold one with captured rainwater from the roof.
