Legal? Plenty of public data is illegal in certain jurisdictions, like Europe.

Art, for example, hosted in the US is pretty protected. In much of Europe many types of art are treated as real crimes they actually go after.

Here’s my conservative take on this, which SCOTUS should also rule, if they were actually conservative & consistent.

Rather than a BIG BROTHER removed federal government intervening, those w/ the most standing, who are affected directly—local jurisdictions—should decide!

Inmates are also served food you wouldn't serve to your dog. Inmates are also abused by each other and by guards.

Hell multiple jurisdictions have been caught dragging out punishments because they're free/cheap labor or "good workers."

Does that restore their right to vote, in your mind?

Kukuri takes regional judicial leadership
Sostenus Wilherm Executive director of the Office of the Judiciary, Benhardt Kukuri, has been elected chairperson of the Southern and Eastern Africa Judicial Administrators’ Association (SEAJAA) for a two-year term. Kukuri was elected during SEAJAA’s annual general meeting held in Tanzania on Sunday, where member jurisdictions also elected a new executive committee. The Office of the Judiciary said the appointment gives Namibia an opportunity to play a greater role in strengthening judicial administration and institutional capacity across the region. “Mr. Kukuri’s election provides Namibia with an opportunity to contribute to regional efforts aimed at strengthening the judicial systems, processes and institutional capacity that support the effective functioning of courts,” the Office of the Judiciary said. Under the new leadership, Namibia will serve as chairperson, with Lesotho as vice-chairperson, Kenya as secretary-general, Botswana as treasurer-general and Seychelles as an ordinary member. SEAJAA brings together judicial administrators from countries across Southern and Eastern Africa and focuses on promoting “effective and efficient judicial administration” and providing complementary services that support the timely administration of justice. The association also provides a platform for judicial administrators to exchange experiences, share best practices and collaborate on common challenges affecting the administration and functioning of courts. The new executive committee succeeds the outgoing leadership led by Uganda as chairperson, Botswana as vice-chairperson, Namibia as secretary-general, Malawi as treasurer-general and Angola as ordinary member. The Office of the Judiciary said Namibia, through its new role, will contribute to regional initiatives focusing on judicial administration, institutional capacity, innovation and the effective delivery of justice. #WindhoekObserver

BIS: Basel III Applicable In Almost All Member Jurisdictions By 2027
* Three quarters of the Basel Committee’s 27 member jurisdictions have now published regulations implementing the full set of Basel III standards. * Almost all member jurisdictions have publicly announced that banks must apply Basel III by April 2027 or earlier. * The Committee will continue to closely monitor and assess the full and consistent implementation of Basel III standards. Member jurisdictions of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision made further progress in implementing the Basel III reforms, according to the Committee’s latest progress update, published today.  The update and monitoring dashboard set out the jurisdictional adoption status of the Basel III standards as of end-September 2026 and show where the standards are already implemented by banks. They cover the final elements of Basel III published by the Committee in December 2017 and the finalised minimum capital requirements for market risk of January 2019. The implementation date for these reforms was 1 January 2023, as announced by the Governors and Heads of Supervision (GHOS) – the Basel Committee’s oversight body – in March 2020. As of 30 September 2026, three quarter of the member jurisdictions have published their rules adopting the final Basel III, ie all standards with an implementation date of 1 January 2023. The revised credit risk and operational risk standards, as well as the output floor, are already effective in around 85% of the member jurisdictions. Looking ahead, almost all member jurisdictions have publicly announced that banks must apply Basel III by April 2027 or earlier. The monitoring dashboard provides the implementation history of Basel standards by member jurisdictions, including the publication and implementation dates of their domestic regulations.  At the 9 March 2026 meeting of the GHOS, members welcomed the implementation progress and reaffirmed their expectation of full and consistent implementation of the Basel III framework by all member jurisdictions as soon as possible. The series of shocks to financial markets over the past few years and recent market developments have highlighted the importance of having a prudent global regulatory framework in place and a regulatory level playing field. The GHOS tasked the Committee with continuing to monitor and assess the full and consistent implementation of Basel III.

some people prefer it (the space, the quiet), or maybe they are just outside city jurisdiction due to rapid suburban expansion. But there is land outside city jurisdictions where people live, so some mechanism of governing is needed for it. Hence, counties/parishes.
