Nosework competition today! Tallie completed her anise Odor Recognition Test today. Next up, her clove ORT and then she can move on to NW1 level

Do we want something more animal training oriented?
I've found only two dog training feeds: one for K9 Freestyle and one for Nosework. There are a couple of zoo ones but they aren't training focused. 2/2

At long last, Nigel earned his NW2! One of only 10 dogs to qualify, and he earned a P in containers, which had a sub-50% pass rate. #NWAddicts #NACSWAddicts #DogsofBlueSky

I spent this wknd as the certifying official for 2 K9 nosework trials, a sport for pet dogs that mimics professional drug and bomb detection, but using essential oils. It’s such a great opportunity to let the dogs lead and show us how they “see” the world.

I'll take one of them. These dogs are government assets and costly ones.
Dogs from litters with the right bloodlines for doing this type of work are extremely expensive. The training takes a while, too.
