my arms will literally always look the way they do, with keloids and deep grooves in them. even if i'm doing fine, they're there. i can't just remove them. so it would be nice to see characters (irl stuff or fictional) that have them too, where it's not even acknowledged and treated like normal

after three years of dealing with my keloids on my ears, I'm finally having an appointment to get them removed! I'm so happy I'll be able to be more confident again when these things are gone.

The way my mom is upset with me for getting my ears pierced and sending me articles about keloids and I’m almost 30 is the reason I didn’t do it until now it’s like the final rebellion 🤣

I had friends come home with horrible scarring and keloids. Looked so painful.

Keloids are weird. Sometimes they appear from extremely superficial wounds or scrapes, and sometimes it’s only deep. Some people have only gotten them from acne and then had large surgeries without keloids in the incisions.

Well, I ended up with keloids on that scar mixed together with shards of stitches that feel like glass and have been slowly working themselves out through my skin for the past 9 months.
I go have surgery next week where they will scrape off the keloids and hopefully a bunch of the shards with them
