Ugh I’m so sorry, cystic acne is so painful. My next older brother got it really badly and it’s just starting to settle down in his mid-40s. He’d also form keloids in some of the spots. So he’s got pitted scarring all over his face, shoulders, and back.

A year ago, Bonny survived a petrol house fire. His severe burns failed to heal cleanly across visits to Nakasongola, St. Francis, and Kiruddu Referral Hospital, turning into painful keloids.

a guy on IG that had this amazing massive sleeve tattoo that looked so great in the first fresh pic like this, a week later it was infected to all hell. Infection can change everything. a healed piece can also highlight scars you might not see at 1st ( keloids etc) I know way too much about this😂

That's true, but it might have been the other way around where I was his first white patient with keloids, but the racial demographics of keloid havers are day one of doing your own keloid research xD

I don't interact with doctors a lot, so this isn't a jaw dropper or anything, but a dermatologist recently said to me, "You don't usually see keloids on white people!"
