I can't remember when or why I drew this baby Kereellis, but it appears to be based on a baby Kermit

Based on the title I have saved this under, Kereellis is also supposed to be Glaswegian

Idea! Use cute animals to build a following and then BAM everything is KCDS now.

Mont Blanc is cosplaying Karatsu all the time.

Turnip and Parsnip are Yata and Kereellis.

Lotus is Makino because goth loli puppy is cute...

This volume was first published in 2005, and I think this outfit was a choice even then

Yata and Kereellis being awkward in the background is a choice too

Kereellis made his way into her luggage and Yata couldn't survive without him.

Numata can't stand the thought of Yata and Makino being alone together, but also drags Karatsu along so they can be lonely together.

Sasaki is the only one with the executive function to arrange the trip.

I really wish we had more Karatsu and Yata interaction, and not even in a shippy way. I just think that it'd be cook to explore how Karatsu’s powers make him feel alienated (nyehe) because he talks to corpses, when Kereellis essentially confirms Yata can do the same, so long as they're compatible

... and you get to see him all insecure about his powers with a supportive Kereellis (who may also be filled with a righteous fury - "show them! Show them all!"), but then it goes on to make v4 all the better, especially with these two panels.

I love Karatsu’s smile in the second panel so much ❤️

INGRID DON'T LOOK JUST IN CASEEEE

New KCDS AU?

Looks like the upcoming chapters will be set in the late Edo period and 🤞 they're adults again 🤞

The high school 90s AU has been fun enough, I just prefer them as adults 🫠
